Job Description
Our client, based in Kimberley (Northern Cape) is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their expanding team. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most knowledgeable individuals in the agricultural sector, combining your skills and experience to accomplish common objectives.

Duties:
  • Administrative and accounting functions.
  • Process information and prepare reports regarding inventory and asset management.
  • Process maintenance cost information on assets.
  • Preparation monthly management reports regarding profit centers.
  • Maintaining and enhancing cost accounting systems and software to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Collaborating with other departments to gather data, share insights, and drive business performance.
  • Providing financial analysis and guidance to management on cost-related matters, supporting decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
 
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications: 
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • BCom Accounting
  • BCom Honours
 
Experience: 
  • Completed SAICA Articles
  • 1 – 2 years relevant experience as a Cost Accountant
  • Experience of BI and analytical software will be advantageous
  • Experience in the FMCG or Manufacturing industry is advantageous
 
Skills & Competencies:
  • Must have above average knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to analyse complex financial data.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Capacity to identify and solve cost-related problems.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to stay updated on industry trends.
