Duties:
- Administrative and accounting functions.
- Process information and prepare reports regarding inventory and asset management.
- Process maintenance cost information on assets.
- Preparation monthly management reports regarding profit centers.
- Maintaining and enhancing cost accounting systems and software to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Collaborating with other departments to gather data, share insights, and drive business performance.
- Providing financial analysis and guidance to management on cost-related matters, supporting decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- BCom Accounting
- BCom Honours
Experience:
- Completed SAICA Articles
- 1 – 2 years relevant experience as a Cost Accountant
- Experience of BI and analytical software will be advantageous
- Experience in the FMCG or Manufacturing industry is advantageous
Skills & Competencies:
- Must have above average knowledge of Excel.
- Ability to analyse complex financial data.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Capacity to identify and solve cost-related problems.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to stay updated on industry trends.
